I’m a car lover. I’m not going to sit here and pre I’m a car lover. I’m not going to sit here and pretend I don’t like nice things. But not too long ago we split our time between a literal mansion in Scottsdale, a lakehouse in Wisconsin and a beach home in Newport Beach. On top of that I had like seven or eight cars and RVs. On paper, the dream life. And the hassle, the maintenance, the stress, the cost... it negated what we thought it was going to be. So we sold the lakehouse, shed some cars, and simplified. (Don’t worry, I kept the sprinter van.) The joke’s on us. The feeling we were chasing with all that stuff is the feeling we have now with less. Same goes for people. Everybody we’ve had to stop inviting to our stuff over the years lost their seat for the same reason. They walked into the room scanning for the most connected person and led with a pitch. Never once was it about what they drove. Who’s the most genuinely good person you know? Send them this.

And guess what? He solved the problem. And we are now passing that solution onto you. It’s called Casthouse. You send the raw recording. You get back the finished episode mastered to your sound, with show notes, ranked titles, chapters and a full transcript. A real person listens all the way through before it gets to you, and approving it takes you about five minutes. On Thursday Jim and I are doing it live.
